TST Engineering focuses its non destructive investigations on the inspection and analysis of traffic infrastructure. With the use of GPR technology, our Group specialises in the measurement of asphalt and concrete thickness. These practices enable our clients to better manage the existing service life of pavements, as well as, permitting them to appropriately select the most accurate maintenance and rehabilitation activities. TST uses the newest Georadar technology to collect pavement layer thickness data quickly, unobtrusively and inexpensively. Our highly skilled technicians can survey subsurface conditions at a fraction of the cost of conventional core sampling while gathering data for network-level pavement management.
TST Engineering, in addition, provides a continuous, non destructive profiling of railway ballast and subsoil. The traditional method for investigating the quality of the ballast uses sampling and analysing of drill cores. TST’s use of ground penetrating radar efficiently solves this information problem. Our technicians obtain a non destructive section of the ballast structure from surface down to about 3 meters depth. With this analysis, TST is able to depict the exact spot where defects have been detected by the GPR scan. The Group investigates railway embankments for the benefit of safety, as well as, proving our client with an optimized allocation of financial resources in times of tight budgets.
